If fashion is really a story, then Giulia Baggini has always been wanting to write the latest chapter. The Italian-born stylist and PR aficionado first caught the attention of the fashion world as a teen together with her blog, simply titled “Giulia's Fashion Blog.” She continued to launch another blog, “Les Milanesi,” which won acclaim from countless top tier publications. Eventually, she realized her imagine moving to Los Angeles and today lends her styling talent to dressing celebrity clientele.
Cliché: What is it about fashion that's so appealing to you?
Giulia Baggini: I love fashion and I love clothes: I love how there is a story about every piece, how there are so many different styles that may be put together in a wide variety of ways. I really like that fashion is creative also it provides you with the chance to be considered a different character every single day. One day I'm able to be a tomboy and the next one I can be inspired by the 70s!
You gained initial recognition for the first blog, “Giulia's Fashion Blog.” Did you expect it to garner so much attention?
I honestly didn't! As mentioned I've always loved fashion, so for me personally it was fun and simple to share my looks, a number of my styling tips, and review my personal favorite collections from fashion weeks- It had been almost like a spare time activity! I had been so pleased to observe that so many people appreciated my effort!
Tell us about your other blogging project, “Les Milanesi.”
'Les Milanesi' was a joint project that I began with certainly one of my buddies in those days. It had been greatly fun because i was two creatives working on a task together and that we always had a lot of ideas! Eventually it was 'let's film a video with this brand', another was like 'let's shoot some content with this beauty brand' and we would have full on photoshoot for the greatest content for those brands that partnered around! Every single day was various and we got to work with so many cool brands and produce plenty of amazing ideas and concepts alive!
What was it like being featured in a lot of well-known magazines like Elle, Marie Claire, Grazia, and Vogue?
That needs to be my personal favorite thing! Growing up I had been obsessive about magazines, especially fashion magazines. Each month I'd go to the stands and buy virtually all of the magazines: Elle, Marie Claire, all editions of Vogue, Grazia– I used to collect them (and I have them!!). I was truly a fan of printed magazines! So, to determine myself in those self same exact magazines a few years later would be a dream become a reality!
Why have you choose to proceed to Los Angeles?
I've always felt more international than all my friends and i have always had this desire to explore the planet, and when I got offered a job at CLD PR in LA I knew I needed to move there. I've always loved this city so I'm so happy I recieve to reside here now!
You're lucky enough to get have the opportunity to work with many celebrities and influencers. What's your preferred project or event that you have done to date?
Every project is special to me. I done plenty of events, and people need to be my personal favorite. Planning a celebration is difficult work, but for the guests in, who just come and enjoy their time there, it might not seem like it, however it requires a great deal of time and dedication to organize each and every detail. It is so nice and rewarding to determine all your effort become more active after so many months of planning! So, I'd state that of all the projects I've ever done, events are definitely my personal favorite!
When you dress celebrities for high profile events, what factors you think when styling them?
It's all about the mood board, and what you envision for your look, but additionally what the client likes and also wear. It is a collaboration with the client and the stylist, who mix their style and taste to produce a unique look. It's also important to know very well what type of event the customer is attending. Some events tend to be more casual than others. For example: The MTV VMAs are definitely more casual and chill than the Oscars, and so i wouldn't choose a big gown or something too pretentious!
It's Fashion Week season! What exactly are you looking forward to most?
I'm super excited to see what's new this season! Following a whole year of no fashion weeks with no in-person shows it's nice to finally see brands setting up shows again. I'm definitely excited to see what Italian brands brings around the catwalk: as I'm from Italy, I feel very attached to Italian fashion and Italian brands, so I'm getting excited about seeing big brands like Prada or Fendi and just what their vision for Spring-Summer 22 is!
